The English Literature Study Program, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya encourages undergraduate students to cultivate the characteristics that turn good students into great writers: independent thought, depth of knowledge, clear reasoning, critical analysis and persuasive style. Our Essay Competition invites students to explore challenging and interesting questions on Being Different.
Essay Writing Prompt:
- Why is it important to find things you have in common with someone who is different than you?
- How would the world be a better place if we were all nice to people who are different?
- Write a story about why you are proud of being different.
Entry is open to undergraduate students from any major across Indonesia. Each essay should address only one of the questions of your chosen topic and must not exceed 1000 words (not counting diagrams, tables of data, footnotes, bibliography or authorship declaration).
Please submit your essay, saved in a word document or pdf format, through the Google Form, here (https://bit.ly/NUEC23) or the scanned QR Code given below. The title of the pdf or word attachment should be your complete name.
